About Me
Hi, I’m Karen James and I set up Cloud VA in 2004 to offer small businesses office support without the need to take on permanent staff. With 16 years secretarial experience and a BA (Hons) in Business Management I felt a virtual assistance business was an excellent way of making use of my knowledge, experience and skills.
I’ve also got a Promotional Practice qualification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and spent three years as Marketing Co-ordinator for a small chain of pubs, planning promotions, producing the company newsletter and maintaining the website.
When social media burst onto the internet scene it seemed a natural move to add social media marketing support to Cloud VA’s services.
I have managed my own social media accounts for two years and have been delivering social media training and managing client accounts for the last year.
I’m very passionate about using social media for business, but using it in the right way!
I live near The Angel of the North with my husband, two grown up children and a cat who thinks she’s a person. I enjoy running my own business and can’t wait to help you enjoy running yours.
